I painted this girl again a few weeks ago, it took me long time to finish it because the moving. I really like this subject, will paint it more after my final subject.
Michael, thanks for asking! I choice the method to paint depend on the object. I agree with Richard Schmid that we should know few different methods. This painting I was painted over on an old painting, so the process was different. The best part from my teacher Zhaoming is the way to see the object. I will pose some "steps" later when I get chance.
Fongwei, I look forward to seeing the steps and a glimpse into your process. Working over an old painting can be lots of fun and give you a cool surface to work on, sometimes giving you an unexpected result.
I am doing that now with old canvases fellow students abandoned at the end of the semester last year. I also agree on working with many different methods. I just got Wu's first book last week and i am enjoying it very much.

I'd love to see some "process' or steps in the work and a bit more about your process which I assume is very similar to Zhaoming Wu's?
Rich color, skin tones, and fanTAStic forshortening of that knee!
