BBQ for the festival

Available at Silvana Gallery.

Are you planning for a BBQ this year?

This is the first narrative painting I have done, it is not an easy subject to paint.

I was attracted by the kebab and wondered about how to paint it, this is the reason I started this painting, but I think the beauty of the painting is the hard working chefs.

Now, this is amazing! That must have so difficult to do, especially with the constant movement. Brilliant work!

This is spectacular! You've captured a moment in time perfectly. I love your atmospheric treatment of the smoke. Excellent job! -Don

Beautiful work! Am so happy to have found your blog. For me the beauty (in addition to the steam and the figures) is that portion of radiant yellow light against the violet grey. Stunning.

Three things grab me about the painting, the sticks on the kabobs and the little peak of the fire and the (appears to me) gold chains on the chefs back collar. I can smell chicken. Love it. Suzy

Very nice painting, is this done plein air? Like the atmosphere, color is excellent also. Love the distance you have achieved too.
